I've been dying to draw one of ~roleychiu 's beautiful photographs, and he graciously allowed me to draw one of my favs, this beautiful model: [link]Around 2-3 hours, using mechanical pencils with HB and 2B lead. There's no "background" because this was just a personal sketch done for my own enjoyment and growth; didn't have a lot of time to spend on the background.
I keep all WIPs in my scraps.

I use mechanical pencils for most of my art. Ignore people who tell you what to use or not to use; do whatever you want, that's the joy of it being YOUR art!

You drew this in 2-3 hours? What's the size of the draw? It looks very good. I love the way you drew her arms, eyelashes, nose and mouth. They look very good. The contrast and darkness of the shadows you used are great. I do have one remark though. Your contrast is almost perfect, accept the her hair on the top of her head. I don't know the reference picture, I didn't see it, but because there are many darks more in the middle and down lower on the draw, the hair on top looks a little flat because of that. Because it is so much lighter compared to the rest, the depth on top is less than around the arms for example. Do you understand what I mean?
For the rest brilliant work, especially seen the amount of time it took for you to make it.

It's an 8"x10" sketch. There is a link to the reference picture is in my artist's comments. It was just a quick little exercise; I did not detail most of it as it was just something I doodled for fun. I don't even have it any more, I threw it away.
