Description
Animals here:- Deinocheirus (11 m)
- Gallimimus (6 m)
Population: 9
Runners is home to the Montana Zoo of Prehistory's collection of ornithomimosaur dinosaurs. This exhibit is open air, a contrast to the previous exhibit on Theropod Trail, Egg Thieves. It closely resembles an exhibit in a traditional zoo, with only fences protecting the dinosaurs from the visitors.
The exhibit is a recreation of the Nemegt Formation in Mongolia, where the two genera of dinosaurs housed here originally came from. To an extent it resembles the Okavango Delta in Africa, being a shallow pool with water plants growing in and around it.
Those two genera mentioned earlier are Deinocheirus and Gallimimus. Though both dinosaurs are ornithomimids, they look completely different: Deinocheirus is bigger and has a hump on its back, while Gallimimus is comparatively smaller. However, since both animals are from the same environment, they share one habitat with fences separating them (This is an advantage, because, as the name of the exhibit states, these dinosaurs love to run!)
The exhibit currently houses three subadult Deinocheirus and six subadult Gallimimus. This number may increase if any of the females lay eggs.

This picture shows the entire Runners exhibit. Note that this is zoomed-out; the real enclosure is really big to accomodate for the running needs of the dinosaurs.

The animals in these exhibit pictures are deliberately left out. Instead, they will be drawn as profiles of their own after I finish drawing the exhibits. Stay tuned to see more.
