Description
In a coutry where you can go a lifetime without seeing a real gun, unless youre drafted to the army, this is what meets you downtown today. This is Oslo, capital of Norway in 2006. Several police officers armed with machine guns and revolvers are guarding the american embassy day and night. For everyones safety.. This is in a county where police officers around the city is merely armed with batons, and only have revolvers locked down in steel chests in the back of their car.

"Guns don't kill - bullets do."
What a f***'ed up fraze! Its clear that a bullet depends on the gun and the gun depends on the hand witch again depends on you. Moron! A war depends on one thing: soldiers. Either triggerhappy misguided young people or buttonpushing cowards.
The fact that this picture turned out commenting the f***''n MP5 in the morons hand is pissing me off!
The embassies of US and Israel arm themself for one purpose only: To scare and frighten the population. Together with the general media it does a freken good job too.. The "terror"risk in norway equals -10! The Norwegian people is even paying milions for this crap..
I could go on, but I might step on someones toes and they get upset..
And if I have allready: -About freken time! Wake up pleace!

You are right guns don't kill people, people kill people. And it's also true that in most European countries the terror threat is -10, but who says the U.S. embassy cant arm itself with MP5's. Besides the MP5 is useless compared to other rifles. It's like a fully automatic hand gun.

You clearly don't see my point. The effectiveness of a MP5 is also far off topic. But I wont start a discussion in someone else's gallery. So I'll leave it there.

by the way, Norway is pretty peacefull, and this is more provoking than it is securing, imo.

Not a machine gun, though. Only capable of semiautomatic function, and more than likely, only carrying about 20 bullets, at most. Even at that, I seriously don't know why they'd need it in Norway, from what you've said. Good capture, the bluish color scheme gives it a good look.

Its an MP5, it most looks like an A2 but with a retractable buttstock instead of a fixed stock like the A2 usually comes with, but it only has a right side selector (rather than an ambidextrous selector switch like on newer more modern models) so I can't deternine if it has full auto or just burst fire capabilities, but the models that H&K sells to security forces and police USUALLY have select-fire settings, so they can fire in fully automatic if need be. And those are double stacked mags taking 9mm ammo, I would be surprised if those magazines held anything under 30 rounds, MAYBE 40. And the mags are bound back to back, so thats 60 bullets at least.
They need them for security because Muslims have been attacking embassies of Western countries in retaliation for the Danish cartoons.
Its a good photo, I like it a lot.
Two things I would suggest is taking it from a bit lower angle, OR cropping it a big, because I can see the top of your head in the marble's semi-reflective service.
But come an visit America sometime, I will let you come and shooting with me.
It'll be a blast, i'll get some tracer rounds, and we can blow up propane tanks. Explosions are fun.

It looks more like a Bruegger and Thommet Semi-auto MP5-a-like("Stamped" S-E lower, and if the extra magazine weren't covering that area of the lower receiver, there'd probably be a "B&T" stamp there. Supposedly, they're cheaper and don't come with the "Deutschlander angst" customer service H&K products in the US get. Another cost-saving maneuver would be to only half-fill the magazines, which I've seen done on British airport security's G36s(transparent magazines showed about 10-15 rounds). They're using a similar SMG in England and have been following the subway bombings. The cartoon protests probably slipped my mind for a bit, I was fighting off the flu that day and was pretty tired when I posted my comment. *waves his little American flag*

I forgot about taking MP5 clones into consideration, no wonder I couldn't find an exact match for the stamp markings on the side.
Clones are cheaper to get because H&K has become pretty bitchy with their customer service, especially to Civvies. I think you're right.
