----Girtablilu-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also known as the scorpion-men or the aqrabuamelu, girtablilus are monsters from Mesopotamian mythology, making their
first appearance in the tale of the beginning of the world, the Enûma Elish. According to the legend they were created
by the primordial goddess Tiamat to fight against her sons, the younger gods, which were planning to overthrow their
mother and take the control of the universe for themselves. They also appeared in the famous Epic of Gilgamesh, acting
as guards at the gates of the sun god Shamash, which served as a passage to the land of darkness. Everyday the gates
would be opened by them to allow passage to the god during the day, and closed when he returned at night.

This wasn't supposed to be this week's upload, it all began with Adramelech, which didn't come out very well... After that
I tried doing Phoenix, then Belphegor and lastly I settled for this guy. While Adramelech had taken a whole week to be made
and didn't really came to fruition Girtablilu was made in less than two days... Pretty strange =__='

The initial design was quite simple, and didn't leave much impression on me. I decided to take some liberties with its design
to make it more dramatic and frightening and a little more original. It may not be the best or the most complex thing I have
ever drawn, but I hope you guys liked it.

Many inspirations from the monster designs of Shin Nagasawa on this one, love that guy's work.

Também conhecidos como homens-escorpião ou como aqrabuamelu, girtablilus são monstros da mitologia mesopotâmica, fazendo
sua primeira aparição no conto de criação do mundo, o Enûma Elish. Segundo a lenda eles foram criados pela deusa
primordial Tiamat para lutar contra os seus filhos, os deuses mais novos, que planejavam derrubar sua mãe e tomar o
controle do universo para si próprios. Eles também aparecem no famoso Épico de Gilgamesh, onde servem de guardas nos
portões do deus sol Shamash, que serviam de passagem para a terra das trevas. Todo dia eles abriam os portões para o
deus durante o dia, e o fechavam quando ele retornasse à noite.

-Nenhum lápis de cor marrom foi ferido durante a produção desse desenho- XDD

Originalmente esse upload não era pra ser esse cara, começou com Adramelech, que acabou não dando muito certo... Depois
foi pra Fênix, depois Belphegor e por último ele. Ao contrário de Adramelech que levou uma semana e não deu fruto nenhum
Girtablilu foi feito em menos de dois dias... Estranho. =__='

A versão inicial dele era bem simplista, e acabou não impressionando muito. Decidi tomar algumas liberdades para tornar o
design mais dramático e amedrontador e dar um pouco mais de criatividade. Pode não ser a melhor e mais complexa coisa que
eu já desenhei, mas espero que tenham gostado.

Muitas inspirações dos designs de monstros de Shin Nagasawa nesse aqui, adoro o trabalho daquele cara.
