Description
If I had remembered Valentine's day was today I would have finished that pink river dolphin fakemon I was working on...Oh well, now you guys get this kitty cat instead.
Name: Ocelux (Ocelot + Lux)
Type: Electric/Dark
Species: Ocelot Pokémon
Ability: Lights Out*/ Illuminate/ (Hidden: Energize*)
*Lights Out: When the Pokémon is hit by a move, it has a 75% chance of reducing the opponent's Pokémon accuracy by 1
*Energize: The Pokémon's Speed stat increases by 1 everytime it uses an electric-type move
Height: 0,72m (2'36")
Weight: 16 kg (35,27 lbs)
Entry:
The spots that grow on its fur can light up like lanterns, but it doesn’t know how to control them yet, so most stay off or shine randomly. It tries to put up an attitude in front of others by copying it’s mother, but at heart it’s still a very innocent and gullible pokémon. They get excited when they run across the jungle at full speed alongside their mother and brother cubs, releasing a bunch of electricity while doing so, making them resemble spheres of light.
-Ocelux -> Lv. 26 at night -> Neonça -
Potential Moveset:
Quick Attack
Hone Claws
Pursuit
Shock Wave
If you've never seen an ocelot before, here it is: [image ]
Ever since I did Neonça some months ago I had already planned it's pre-evo, or at least what it should be like. The main idea back then was for a smaller version of it's evolution, but instead of being all dark and sneaky it was just an innocent and happy kitten, pure electric type. "Shockub", it was called back then. But then I remember the Ocelot existed. lol
Since the Ocelot looks like the missing like between a house cat and a jaguar, it felt very natural to make it into Neonça's pre-evo, so here it is. Although even so, it's still just kind of a smaller version of its evolution anyway, so in the end I guess it didn't change that much. I've kept the dark type so make it a bit more interesting... And because I'm reserving the "happy cub" thing for another day.
So, did you liked it? Tell me everything in the comments below!
See you guys next time!

Oh my god, you're right! I really haven't done any! o.O
But don't worry, the Tupama region is going to have at least 6 evolutionary families containing at least one of the 18 types, so at the very least, 6 fire fakemons are coming... Sometime.
One fakemon, one legendary, one fossil and a gen 5-evolution are planned as fire types for now.

This one is a pre-evolution so of course it's gonna be cuter than it's evolution. Pre-evo or evo, you kept the onion ears!

But now they're like little baby onions! =w=
...Now I've gotten hungry...

Ocelux' onion ears have 2 layers and Neonca's got 3 layers.

It's smaller, so baby onion indeed!
Now we know that Ogres, Onions and Jaguars have layers. Maybe if Neonça mega-evolves it can have Bloomin' Onions ears then...

No joke, that would be awesome. But as this whole onion thing is just our inside joke, that mega wouldn't make sense to a lot of people.

Yeah yeah, I'm just kidding!
...Can't imagine what people without the proper context would think.

I totally called that the pre-evo would be based on an ocelot btw, they're like tiny jaguars! XD Looks like Litten's got some competition
Can't wait to see the pink river dolphin btw! They're a lot cooler-looking than standard bottlenoses, and their association with certain water fairies is also a plus.

I didn't even know there were ocelots in minecraft... Why is that everytime I go play it nothing interesting ever happens to me?!
Well, for very little it almost wasn't a ocelot! Guess it was better to have waited all this time to post it! XD
But I'm thinking of a normal baby bottlenose evolving into a pink river dolphin actually, and yeah, it's going to be based on the folklore surrounding them. They'll probably have the power to make human and pokemon to fall in love with them, or something like that.

According to the Minecraft wiki, Ocelots spawn In Jungle Biomes, on Grass or leaf blocks that are above sea level, any light level. I wanted to tame one but couldn't find enough raw fish to try - wolves were a different story, since I had a habit of murdering skeletons out of pure spite and had bones to spare. Anyway, it's a good thing that you decided to use an actual jungle cat species as a basis rather than just a regular "cat with spots", since Purrloin already has the "housecat that evolves into a big cat" shtick covered. Fun fact: Ocelots are sometimes known as "dwarf leopards", and their common name also comes from the Nahuatl word ōcēlōtl, which usually refers to the jaguar (a.k.a. Neonca) - so ocelots really can be considered "dwarf jaguars".
Cute Charm would totally fit the dolphins, both because of the seemingly cute appeal of bottlenoses (never mind that they're actually dicks, I hear they're among the few species that kill for fun D and the whole deal with making you fall in love with them for the second form. I actually have a similar idea in the works, though in keeping with my region being based off Southeast Asia, will be based on the Hindu Makara and the South Asian river dolphin instead.

Strange... The last time I've played recently I've spawned in a jungle area and set camp there, but didn't have the luck to find anything interesting there. Never really found any horses, wolves or any other cool animals... Oh my luck.
But here in brazil they're even more related to jaguars! Ocelots are known here by the incredibly weird name of "Jaguatirica", meaning in the Tupi-language "Jaguar that keeps its distance" or "Jaguar that runs away". Not sure what they meant with that... Do ocelots are more sneaky and prone to run away than jaguars? I dunno. But well, I had totally forgot that jaguatiricas were a thing, I knew the word Ocelot, but never actually knew what kind of animal it was... I always assumed it was some kind of puma or something, and only this week I went to research it discovered that both were the same thing. Live and learn I guess?... So yeah! It really makes perfect sense for them to be in the same family! How incredibly convenient!
Cute Charm is definitely the dolphin's main ability already, it's simply perfect for it. And they won't be completely innocent either... The bottenose one will use it's cuteness to manipulate humans into giving it gifts, and the pink one will use it's psychic power to control people's mind and making them fall in love for it. I'll probably not going to post it so soon because there's still an (unlikely) chance that I'll make it the water starter instead (an all pink water starter would be too weird), and I have another more important idea for a Water/Psychic already, so it's being kinda problematic.
And great! I'm curious how yours will turn out! Using the makara as an inspiration is very clever!
