I know of one instance where an A-10 was hit by more than 300 rounds of Anti-Aircraft Artillery of varying calibers. It flew home, but one of the main gear tires was blown out in that instance. I imagine that those tires would be small targets to hit. Unless they were being sprayed with rounds like in the above story, I can't imagine it being a major problem. Especially seeing as how he target is usually destroyed on the first pass, leaving few opportunities for them to be shot out.

well i was just thinking because they are exposed, and there is always that chance.
