haha this is my darling friend and i taking pictures of our first make-up and dress rehersal during my highschool's production of Cats.He's Macavity in case you couldn't tell :3
i thought this would make for an interesting id, rahahahaha <3
i loved that show so much, so so so much fun ^^

I saw the youtube vid of your production and it was great!
I got to see this done professionally at the Fox back in february and I was in awe. I loved it. Macavity's amazing! "and when you see the deed's been done MACAVITY'S NOT THERE!" lol.Cats is definitely one of my faves.

we did it my fourth year, and there was no inclination before hand that it was going to happen. we were all set on doing footloose, we bought the scripts and everything, but then we couldn't get the rights to it 'cause some small community theatre down the street got it just before us. and so we were gonna do West Side Story again, but we didnt have a Tony, and so finally our choreographer was like, hey, it's a really tough show, and will be the most expensive one this school has ever put on, and will be a lot of work, but lets do Cats. and omg we did.
i hope your highschool will do it, it's an amazing show, and i wish everyone who wants to can have a chance to be in it!!

no dude, i can't dance worth crap, and neither could my friends who played Munkustrap, or Alonzo, but our amazing choreographer made it work, it was awesome. and amazing. and omg i love that show. if you feel like watching, here's a clip of our show. if i had a choice i would upload something more exciting like the jellicle ball or Rum Tum Tugger, but 'cause of our choreographers copyright issues, we cant upload anything like that 'cause he doesn't want anyone to steal his choreography. gr. anywhoo

anyway, yeah. didnt have to dance at all, but then again i wasn't a lead, im afraid Bombalaurina dances a lot, im not sure about Etcetera tho, i cant remember if the chick who played her could dance or not. . . i dont remember which cat that was XD

omg the show was so much fun, ive never had as much fun in any other show.
we had a professional choreographer come in all the way from chicago and everything, it was amazing.
those costumes knew how to smell.

I've seen worse make up than that in actual touring productions!! I know the guys from the UK tour and believe me, they sucked at the start. You look so awesome, I can't believe it was a High School production. Verrrry professional!!

I'm very glad you think so. I've wanted to try the make up for a while, want to do myself as Skimble, who's my favourite character, but I've never managed to get the make up.
The guys on the tour - it took them about 2 hours at the start and we have such funny pictures where they got it all lopsided etc. I'm so very impressed by yours - the costumes look so good too! I might show them the picture of your make up next time we get together lol!
The UK tour's just moved to Italy to finish, I don't know about the American one sorry.

ooh we had the best Skimble, he was an artist, so his make-up was always perfect. he was so good <3
yeah, the picture was actually taken from our first make-up rehersal, so that was very interesting. it took us all about 2 hours too, but then i managed, by the end of the run, to get my make-up time down to 50 minutes, i was so impressed with myself XDD
ooh im so happy you like the costumes, those were all made by students too, we spent 4 months to get all 52 costumes done. it was basically hell. but they looked good in the end <3 yayness

Love it!!! Major fan of the musicals, and Cats was one of my first! This cat's dead from curiosity, what's your favorite song? Mine are Shimbleshanks and Mr. Mistoffolees(sp?). Anyways, great work on the make-up, looks exactly like the one who wasn't there when the crime took place.

oooh, i think my favourite song from Cats was the Italian Aria sung right after Growltiger's Last Stand or something, it was THE most GORGEOUS italian song i have ever heard in my life, every time we would run the show, i would look foward to the part in the second act when Jamima and Growltiger would sing, omg it was an orgasm to the ears.
unfortunately the song isn't included in the dvd version of cats, boo, but it's on the soundtrack
I also really just love the opening Jellicle Cats, but i do love Skimbleshanks too, ooh and Macavity, ooh they're all good ^^

Xd Our school's an art school, so anyone that visits is considered an outsider or 'Normal'. ^^ We're a bunch'a freaks. Cool, funny freaks, but freaks none-the-less.
