So i was going through my notes and papers and junk related to my AAT manga [link] (YES! I WAS ACTUALLY WORKING ON IT!) and i found a note i wrote years ago saying 'Iason Mink makes a good Lucifer reference' and i was like, huh, and rewatched the second half of Ai no Kusabi AND OMG THE ART IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I REMEMBER IT BEING GOOD, BUT GEEZE NOT THAT GOOD and i mean, SRSLY it was made in the EFFING EARLY 90's AND IT'S STILL EFFING BEAUTIFULso i was immediately re-inspired and quickly drew this thing.
I drew Lucifer with Calla Lillies because they represent purity and death. tho lucifer isn't pure by any means, he puts up the front of light and beauty to deceive souls. he is the father of lies after all. and just as so, the Calla Lilly is lethally poisonous if eaten.

i heard they're remaking Ai no Kusabi, i really hope the new artwork lives up to it's predecessor, that's half the beauty of the ova
