Color pencil drawingIt was so relaxing to draw this one... lately i was only doing old people and there was a loot of wrinkles and what not to think about.. here everything is so smooth and clear.

Also if you want to do a great drawing/ painting you got to have a awesome reference.. i used a pic of Cristina Otero, love her work and this one was my fav. so i just needed to draw her.

To me, references are mostly used to make new designs and are used just for that, while subjects/models etc. are used for copying/tracing.

Cristina does EXCELLENT self portraits. I've been following her for some time now, on DA and on Facebook. She's brilliant and beautiful. Her make-ups are so creative and I absolutely love them.
I LOVE this rendition of her "trauma." piece. Really, really well executed. I'm mostly drawn to her lips/mouth. I think all that work drawing old, wrinkly faces has made you very good at drawing skin wrinkles like those that are natural in even young lips.
