I'm really pulled into this image and I'm not sure why. I guess it's because the space looks so odd empty.

I really like the lighting in this shot, it seems soft, but its all fluorescent yes?
Austin, I have one question if you dont mind, I see you've shot this at ISO 1250 at 1/16th of a second, I assume you used a tripod, are you hesitant when you have to shoot at ISO > 800 . I only ask this because theres been a couple of times when I have skipped a few scenes because of insufficient light

yes all the lighting was fluorescent... I shot at 1250 ISO cause I had to hand-hold and it was very low light... I'm not too hesitant shooting over 800 ISO On the 5D cause it is vey very low noise... but that changes with different sensors... I used to have a D60 and I never like even going up to 800 ISO with it cause of the noise increase... with the 5D and I can pumped it up to 1600 ISO and it's not huge problem.
instead of skipping a scene because of low light, i'd ramp up your ISO and shoot it, and deal with the noise later.. better to have a slightly noisy image than no image at all

this is sucha great photo. once i get my turbo in and some more cosmetic stuff in ill come down to texas and get you to take pics of my car

thanks! the lighting was a bit bluer and i adjusted the hue by split toning (warmer sepia in the light tones, greens in the dark tones)

Hum... You still have this marvelous vision of vast and quiet places, adding a sense to all lights you see. What else ? You've shot exactly what I see and it makes me feel very good. Free.
