Heh, you certainly got Dot's infamous "monoboob" right!

Did you know that her chest was rendered that way because of stupid 90s censorship laws? Couldn't have realistic breasts on a children's cartoon character, after all!

*fails to recall why I've heard of this, including the term "monobreast"*

Ah, the nineties.... XD

I did! In fact I have the behind the scenes books here, lots of fascinating stuff. Hexadecimal was named after one of the finnicky render farm machines they used to make the "Money for Nothing" music video for Dire Straits.

Also I'm glad you noticed the monoboob (or breastbar as I like to call it) because I think you're the first one to comment on its ridiculousness. Now if I could just do a better job on the rest of her anatomy I'd be laughing. Side Note: I should draw more Reboot characters

I beg to differ.  And, I will probably be the only one who does.

I did a whole, big review of the first "season," a couple months ago.  Watched every episode.  I's not really meant for binge-watching and I noticed some problems, to be sure, but I liked the show as-a-whole.

Just wish the "Sourcerer" wasn't such a one-dimensional villain.  Give that man a motive, damn it!
And, a better name.  Because, wowie.

Ya mean the ceos failed attempt to revive his failed show by slapping ReBoots name on it? Yeah that show sucks.

I don't wanna get into it.  I'll just say that I kinda like it and , in my opinion, there are more-than-a-few similarities between this show and the original – particularly Seasons 3-4.
"Mainframe Mayhem" was just pure, gross fan service, though.  I mean, I appreciated it, but… it didn't really fit the theme of the new show…

No seriously look up MP4orce it literally has the same guy in charge of the dumpster fire that is Guardian code behind it. He literally just redid his failed show and slapped ReBoot on it cause he knew it’d get hits. Hell I’ve heard that people told him not to do that cause it’d piss everyone off.., mission accomplished I guess. And the only “similarities” it has are the name and some of the characters and it even gets that wrong, or did you forget how much of a badass Dot was?

I said, "I don't want to get into it."  I'm sorry, but nothing is going to change my opinion.  As generic and redux-y as The Guardian Code is, I still like it.  If it bothers you so much, just do like people do with Command & Conquer: Generals and Metroid Prime: Federation Force – drop the "brand recognition" and try and enjoy it as its own thing.  Or, don't.  Your choice.
But, I'll definitely say that I'll take DEVLAN13 over the Sourcerer any day.
He may be a weasel, but at least he has personality.  And, he's not gross.  And, he's not one-dimensional.
And, he seems reluctant to even be "evil," so there's potential for redemption, there.

Considering it’s literally shitting on fans for wanting a proper sequel (see the guy livening in his moms basement and being a diehard fan of the series and about the age of people who grew up with it) it’s going to be a bit hard to convince me other wise. Again the guy who came up with the show literally slapped the ReBoot name on the show to get hits and was told this was going to just piss off the fan base. But hey if you like the shallow cash grab that insults the target audience who waited 15 years for a sequel to a cancelled show. Be my guest, I won’t take it away from you.

Since you brought it up… the guy living in his mom's basement, surrounded by ReBoot merchandise, was Mark Lieren-Young .  He wrote the "Web Wars" two-parter finale of ReBoot, Season 2, as well as "Mainframe Mayhem," from the new series.  Admittedly, it makes for quite a bizarre plot hole – or, perhaps, a plot point?  I mean, if Mainframe was a UNIVAC machine, tucked away in the high school… how did "The User" come about so much ReBoot television show memorabilia?  And, if the mainframe of Mainframe is located there, why and how does The User have access to it, from his mom's basement?  And, why does he need to transmit games to Mainframe, in order to play them?
Honestly, that episode left a bad taste in my mouth, but not because The User is a shut-in NEET.  The ridiculous amount of questions that it raised was just, well, ridiculous.  And, this is part of the negatives that I mention in my review of the series (so far).  Sometimes, it seems like the show doesn't know what it wants to be and doesn't know where it's going (or, sometimes, where it's been).  Kind of like the 2016 GhostBusters movie.  But, I digress.

Anyway, no one said this new show was for "the old fans."  To think that it would be is pretty ridiculous, if you take into consideration that the entertainment business is, in fact, a business.  A big part of reviving a series is retooling it for a modern-day audience.  If it's not relevant to a certain audience, it won't be a success, thus it won't be worth the cost to produce.  If you plan to bring a series "out of retirement," you can't just ride on the coattails of the past.  Sometimes, if you want to succeed, you have to leave the past in the past… or, as in this case, bring back the past as a minor thing… or, a clever reference.  But, no.   People, like you, have to have it their way.  If the series is even slightly different, you throw a hissy-fit and storm the forums to raze the series to the ground!  It's absurd.

I say, let the kids have their Code Lyoko knock-off.  Fans of the old series (of which, I am one of them) can always watch the VHSes and DVDs, or check the series out on Shout Factory .  That said, I'm done.  Take care.
