I loved this cartoon, even though it appeared to have been animated by left-handed Frenchmen (except the intro which I think was done by Cowboy Jesus).
The Legend of Calamity Jane was an all too short lived cartoon that was yanked off Yankee air 'cos it was TOO GODDAMN AWESOME (i.e. violent, sexy, you know, shit kids love). It was on up here for a good couple of years until Teletoon became completely pussified due to an anime-related indecent (something like putting a rape scene from Ninja Scroll on waaaaaay to early one night).
Anyway, why'd I like this?
There was shootin'
There was drinkin'
There was lesbian tension
There was whippin'
There was endless badassery...

The rope (or whip) its a little to dark, and i cant see it clearly

so THAT'S what happened, i never thought that ninja scroll would be the one responsible for the decrease of animes on Teletoon, i remember seeing that movie when i was 13 XP, as for the rape scene, it actually left me confused than scared, i was like "wth is going on? O_o" XD. but yeah, i do remember this show, i admit it was slow for me, but I will not deny how HOT she was XD

Well it was more of the whole MA rated program airing in a G rated spot that pretty well had most people calling Teletoon and complaining. No one but a few kooks thought they'd pull anime for so long.

I seem to remember viewing the promo, and thinking that it looked pretty bad ass. Shame it wasn't aired for very long.
Beyond the promo on youtube, I can't find much evidence of it online. Shame really.
