So it's my second stamp yay!! I made it cuz I can't stand the stupid fight of: -Simba copied Kimba- -Oh no It's a coincidence- bla bla bla... GOD STOP IT!I like them both but I prefer the Lion King,plz don't annoy me about it i's just that I know it better.

Kimba is a very old cartoon and it has many diferences with The Lion King. Don't go around saying something sucks just because you don't like it. And I don't think you should suggest I delete my stamp because of it.

OMG I so agree.
I am so sick of all the ASS' out there that go on and on about how the entire Lion King series is a compleat and total rip off of The Jungle Emperor, (or kimba the white Lion, wich ever you prefer.) I wish that they would all just shut up already.
But I dont quite agree with the Simba copyd Kimba thing, because Kimba's original Japanese name was Leo. The name Kimba was given to him when the series whent throught tanselation, and unfortonetly the name kimba means "Little Coward" (rather insalting of a name for such a brave little guy.).................. But yeah I'll shut up now.

The thing is Tezuka fans like I wouldn't be so angry if Disney just admitted they were inspired by Kimba the Lion, The voice actor of Adult Simba said it was going to be a remake of Kimba the White Lion and various other people at Disney said it was going to be a tribute of Kimba the White Lion. Concept art showed 'Simba' being a albino lion cub in the Jungle like Simba. Then they changed eveyything.
I love The Lion king but I prefer Kimba the White Lion because it has a little more depth. I just wish TLK Fans would STOP bashing Kimba, and deny that the movies aren't alike at all.

Watch the Helen McCartby presentation on Osamu Tezuka. She stated she talked to 3 animators who worked on the Lion King who both stated they had to look at early Kimba videos for inspirationΒ

Simba is born. Parents are present. Remains in Pride with childhood friend. Father is killed. Runs away. Exile. Returns. Fights uncle. Becomes king again.
Kimba is born. Father is dead. Mother is contained in a cage aboard a ship. She drowns when the ship capsizes. Kimba returns to jungle after living with humans. Grows up with friends and deals with humans and making a peaceful loving kingdom.

Also look up concept art of the Lion King. Simba was going to be named Kimba and was a white lion cub who lived in the Jungle.

I've never seen anywhere where Simba was named Kimba. I know they were planning to remake Kimba the White lion but lost the rights, so they made a -new- story.

Why do they need to credit Kimba for anything? The character designs are clearly different with minimal similarities (I'll give Scar looks a lot like Claw..), the story is different, shoot even the side characters are different species.

I love you. I feel the same way about this. And I also prefer Kimba the White Lion because of the more depth the story has and also for the characters.
Crazy Lion King fans need to get over themselves... It's a movie. Not a way of life and you shouldn't make it be your life. :/ I love Lion King, always have, always will, but I don't worship it. XD
