I noticed I seem to be lacking recently, like my colouring has gone downhill or something, its true that I have been trying new techniques, but usually as I tried new things, things started looking better, so I decided I would get back to pure basics, even more so then my previous piece(which was done in SAI, using a lineart layer to outline the shadows).

So I coloured in this piece of Sakura, rather happy with how this came out, despite how simple it is(no complex shading or highlights), though this was kind of a step back for me, but also 2 steps forwards, went back to doing the shading freehand, however instead of using the brush tool like I used to, I simply used selections and the freehand tool, so I am improving at using my tablet.

Also, I did something a little different with the lighting, its alot more vertical coming from the left, still need practice at placing the shadows correctly, but I think this is my best shot at it to date.

Loved how the hair and kunai turned out.
