You probably explained it well and I'm being a little slow, but what do you mean when you say "Select outside, invert and fill base colors"? Is there an actual tab or tool for doing that, or is it using the magic wand tool and then just coloring the lineartΒ a different color? I'm still new to the coloring process, so I'm glad when I see experienced artists teaching their methods; it really helps.

Oh! I mean to select the outside of the drawing with the magic wand, after that, there is an option of inverting the selection (i use medibang, so i guess ither programs have that too) Which will select the inside area of the drawing with no blank space, after that, you fill a layer behind the lineart with the base colors! In the changing lineart color, its just locking the transparency and putting colors different to black, since ut looks nicer with different colors in different places. For the select out side, fill base colors... I fill the inverted selection with gray, after i lock the transparency and put the colors in :^) while selecting, I use the "expand selection" to 2,so there is no blank lines or color outside the drawing :'0 I hope this helped, if you didnt understand something ill try to explain! ^^
