Description
Just shy of two hundred and seventy meters long the Basilisk class of warships are the primary space combat drones of the SALTS (Saturation at All Levels Tactical and Strategic) automated defensive network for Kepler space within the Killian Verge. As an automated drone craft, the Basilisk is able to operate near seamlessly with other SALTS warships to accurately designate and respond to any threats that could befall from intrusion into sovereign space, more typical than not to dissuade and deter piracy from the Storm of Shadows.

Armament wise the Basilisk is equipped with three 250mm high velocity ASRG-25 No.4 railguns capable of putting a hole clean through most vessels and to serve as long range standoff weapons. For secondary weapons and point defense, it is also equipped with six dual 80mm revolver autocannons and a laser array typically found on cruisers to defeat missile swarms. The primary armament however is the 324 Wz. 21 'Whitecap' No.2 space - space missiles that can mount up to eighteen individually guided warheads for multiple types of munitions.

However, it is unlikely that a single Basilisk would fight alone in response to threats, instead it would be accompanied by a multitude of other dronecraft equipped with gravity interdiction arrays more powerful sensors and electronic warfare suites, command ships, and of course other combat craft to take down potential attacks before the more traditional Coalition Air Force can mobilize a QRF in response and arrive on the scene.
