Este es un dibujo de Multo que hice el año pasado, en Noche Buena, antes de irme con mi familia a la misa de Noche buena, como todos los años....aún recuerdo esa noche, había algo mágico en el aire...no se si era por el espiritu navideño, pero algo hizo que este dibujo me saliera tan bien!!
Me gusto bastante como salió! siempre quise hacer un retrato de Multo como los que hace la gente a veces con Photo Shop, solo que, como no tengo Photoshop (y tampoco tiempo para pintar en corel) hice esto con colores pastel y colores tradicionales!
Aqui esta multo en una de sus poses caracteristicas! Multo siempre tiene unos ademanes muy elegantes, por ejemplo, cada vez que va a decir algun dato o algo importante, pone una mano en la espalda y otra enfrente como si hiciera una reverencia, como por ejemplo aqui, en este retrato. Me encanta que los productores del show realmente se preocupen por hacer que los personajes se vean realistas, no solo por su personalidad, sino también por sus gestos y sus frases, y sus movimientos!!

This is a portrait of Multo form The Zula Patrol, one of my few favorite animated characters, I made this little one last year on Christmas Eve, before I go with my family attend Christmas Eve Mass, like every year....I still remember that night, there was something magical in the air and stars shone a lot...I don't know if was Christmas spirit, but something inspired me to made this one, and it came out well!! I'm so proud of this one!!!
I always wanted to do a portrait of Multo like all those ones I' ve seen made usually with Photo Shop, but I don't have Photoshop (neither time to paint in Corel) I made this with pencil and pastel colors! So here is Multo in one of his classic poses!
One of the things I love about the show it's that producers
pay attention and care about the personalities, phrases, gestures and movements of the characters, they make sure everything is original an also look realistic!! For example Multo, he's got many very elegant and amused movements, I had noticed it by seeing some clips there are on the web. Almost always, when he is standing, or he's stating something or is going to say something important, he put a hand back and the other forward, like a reverence, as he did it in Blug-Glub, when he said he loved water, or for example here, in this Portail!
And when he laughs sometimes puts his hands in his tummy. In this clip for example [link] when multo states that even as a baby he had fun watching the planets go round and round, he made a move with his hands in his waistband, and I just couldn't help laughing a bit because it seems he was so proud of that! In part by his voice entonation but also by THE WAY he moves! (really, check the clip, and you will see it!) and I think one of most amused things is what he can do with their eye stalks, there are times that are longer, there are times that they shrinks, and sometimes they are crossed or rolled in themselves, depending on his emotions. And that's great because it makes you say "Wow look, this is really genuine!"
Since I remember I always appreciated those little details such as voices of charactes, and I put a lot attention of their phrases, gestures and moves were original, these little things make characters more real, and for that reason they are so interesting and amused to see! That's what happens with this show!! I love all those little details and I'm so glad that the show makers really care about that!!!
