Everything from pure white (barely at the tips) a lot of Bright green, through to forest green with a bit of teal or aqua at the darker parts of the flame.

Freehand with some custom xacto cut stencils. I cut basic shapes for the skulls at the base, the necron heads, and the nightbringer out of paper, but after getting the basic shape it was all filled in with an airbrush. with the one exception of the lines on the necron skulls. I hadent figured out then how to do that. Now it would be pretty easy.

Its ammusing looking back at this one, I see so many inadequacies with it. I guess most artists look back on prior works after they have grown and think, wow, that looks like crap compared to what I could do to it now.

I hate you. Dx (but all joking aside) That's SO incredible! This is a killer paint job, and I love that the feel of the eerie and surreal green is engulfing the bottom, and the top has the darkness and grim ominous imagery. Fantastic work!

About 80 hours including time to practice technique on scaled drawings of its side panels. I could do it in about 10-15 now, maybe less.

quick question though how did you pain the flames, my friend saw that and said it's almost impossible with details like that unless you had an airbrush

I did indeed use an airbrush. But it is not impossible without one. You just have to be very good at blending and painting thin mostly transparent layers building up opacity. This was my first attempt at flames with an airbrush on a model. As such I made a few mistakes that I fixed with a hairy brush using many thin layers to blend in or out.

^What they all said lol. This is easily the best painting I've seen ever. But it looks more like a ride at the exhibition than an actual Monolith. We all wish we could paint like you do.
