this is just WOW. I wish... But too many would just see her as evil and not understand her motives. Besides, Luna would have been there should the worst come to pass.
Love how the fandom puts more effort into her mane by making it more constellationy. Your Luna is quite lovely, and her being the one to create a disaster, and likely being the anonymous tipster at that. Oh this is so good. I hope you do more!

If I were you, I would have flipped the fourth panel around. Reading left to right, it looks like she flew backwards and landed on the balcony instead of leaving it.

Cool theory, maybe Chrysalis was locked beneath a seal waiting in the Tartarus to be awaken (like this guy [link] [link] )... I can picture it...
Long before Luna's banishement, some time after they had defeated Discord the first time, the Queen of the Changelings came and tried to take over Equestria but Luna and Celestia stopped her with the Elements of Harmony and imprisioned her in Hell... or whatever the pony universe has instead of Hell...
And well, Luna used her magic to unimprison her as shown in this comic. Why? She wanted Twilight and her friends to defeat Chrysalis to show Celestia Twilight was actually ready for...IT...

It's not the same year, the Princess just aproximates. Perhaps Luna's banishement was exactly a thousand years before the Summer Sun Celebration because of them astronomies...

i like the constellations in her mane; the fourth panel could have been mirrored for a better effect. as one reads from left to right, the panel could have been laid out in the same way to better express the progression taking place. great comic regardless
