//EDIT// Over 100 favorites already? Wow! I really appreciate that everyone! And I'm sure Samus appreciates it too!
E3 has come and gone once again. And for me the most exciting thing was the announcement of a pair of Metroid titles. In celebration, I decided to draw my favorite bounty hunter once again! The first 2D Metroid title in 13 years...I am so ready for this!
I haven't drawn a piece in this comic book ink style in quite some time, and it was a lot of fun to do! I tried my best to make the Power Suit look like the new design they debuted with Metroid: Samus Returns. Unfortunately, screen shots were all I had to go off of. But I really like the new design for the suit. Part sleek and part heavy duty, with some cool new lines to boot. I really hope they use it for the next Smash Bros title.

Stinkin boss job on the lines and colors of this.
Also very nice that pulled off a pose that feels powerful and original while there's so many pictures already existing of her just standing and shooting in a similar manner, but this still doesn't feel stale.
I lost track of the different variously) variations of her suit, but I don't quite remember one looking like this, and I like it!

I like how you put her in the old Power suit from the original Metroid and II prior to her obtaining the Varia (Also in II since that is when she got the giant shoulders and overall added armor) Still one of my favorite suites due to it's sleek design favoring mobility over lethality... that being said she is still insanely powerful in combat.

Thanks! For as great as her silhouette looks with the Varia, I always enjoyed the classic Power Suit too. And yeah, even at low levels Samus is still far stronger than your average GF or Pirate Trooper.

Nintendo knew they owed the fans a proper game after a long wait from a really bad game, and not just a spin off.

Well, it's not just for Prime 4. I've been wanting a remake of Metroid II for a long time. So this was drawn more for that. But yes, we absolutely need more Metroid games.

What would the remake be like though? It can't be like Zero Mission, because of AM2R was exactly that.
And also, I think nintendo might just sell Metroid. I mean, they don't make a big deal out of it, and chances are, they just want it off their backs.

And you should show a little patience. They just announced that they started developing it. There probably won't be anything shown either next year at the earliest.

Really great Samus pic you did there, bud. After all, it's great that the Metroid series is getting 2 new games(one for the 3DS and the other for the Switch). and more importantly Metroid Prime 4. ^^ *sigh* Obviously nothing on Starfox from this year's E3. But oh well, we just got Zero last year. But you know what, if Metroid can get a second chance with Prime 4 after what happened with Federation Force last year, then it can be done with the Starfox series with another entry. It deserves another chance and I have a feeling we'll get one on the Switch. What do you think? ^^

And I think we'll get a new Star Fox at some point. I heard somewhere that Miyamoto or one of the producers for Zero would like to give it another go. But right now, I'm just happy to see a new Metroid title. Despite how much I draw Krystal, and have Eggman as my avatar, Metroid is my favorite game franchise.
I look forward to Prime 4, but Samus Returns is enough to keep me happy right now. Hence the art. XD

Also, given the fact that Miyamoto did confirm that the Starfox series will continue and that he will put more effort into the series despite the fact what happened to Zero. Then you got Platinum Games who are interested in doing a sequel to Zero. Like Metroid, this is what the Starfox series needs now in to have Nintendo push the panic button and give us an actual sequel instead of a remake and it's happening with Prime 4. Are you planning to get the Amiibos for Metroid coming up? I'm a bit envious that the Metroid series is getting it's own lineup outside of Smash and I hope that one day the Starfox series gets its own Amiibo lineup outside of Smash. Oh well, one thing at a time. ^^

Well, to be fair it was Nintendo's fault for the way the game turned out. I enjoyed it, but I really hope they go with a standard control scheme next time. All I need is for Star Fox to be a good aerial shooter. It doesn't need to have crazy gameplay. As for the Amiibos, they look very cool. The squishy Metroid sounds excellent. And hopefully Fox and crew will get theirs too. But they need a new game first.

That's true. Because any SF fan like you and me would like to see Fox and his crew be made into Amiibos outside of Smash. Hopefully that day will come. ^^

Considering that Zero Mission art had a similar ink style, I can see that. But this is based on the design from Samus Returns, as best as I could do it.
