Hey! I know this would be pretty late considering it's 2011 and I don't know if someone already said this but Isn't that the Super Mario Advance 4 (SMB3) World Map?

Um... it could be! ^^ I had found a so-called "map" of SMB3's Mushroom World SOMWHERE on the internet (perhaps from TMK?) and used it as a referance for the map in this picture. Whether or not that map came from SMA4, I'm not sure.

Yeah. I checked. It is from SMA4 since the NES SMB3 nor the SNES version had that map. After you beat the game you are given the chance to chose which ever would you want and play whatever level you want, considering you beat it.

Atticus - this is freakin' awesome! Like Noster said, the atmosphere is so perfect - it has a bit of a 1890's feel, (As you and I know so well...)
I love the tiny Koopa tanks and boats, and the air ship in the background - all very nice!
Not to mention the Baron himself - the eyes and face, his hat - really, he couldn't ask for better fan art!

It's funny about the little play peices... the boats really should be airships, I guess. But I kinda didn't know how to draw a floating toy airship, you know? At least the Koopa Army (Navy...?) did use a few regular ships in SMB3.
As for the Baron, well, you see I kinda winged his color scheme, but I hope he came out okay.
And yikes, no worries about comment times... I can't possibly keep track of stuff like that! XD

The print I just did, however, didn't turn out, thanks to my printer's ink. Oh well - it'll just have to wait to join the rest in the KN binder!
Ah, I see - makes sense, they could be airships and boats. I'd say the Koopa Navy is pretty small, but it exists! Even if it's just three battleships!
Hmm - well, you did well with that - I hadn't actually decided on his colour scheme, especially for his hat. You chose great colours there, actually. As for his gloves, I was thinking light blue, like Dry Bones', or tan brown, like you did the hat. But still, white gloves work fine!

Good call... some of those could quite definitly be airships! Hadn't thought of that for some reason...
And blue or brown would probably look better for his gloves... I'm actually kinda partial to brown, both since it's a military color and Pipe Land comes across as a somewhat arid region. Yet when I see cartoony gloves I guess I just think "white"... clearly my loss, that habit.

I was thinking that the grey ones all close together may be individual boats, and the brown ones being a squad of airships...
Yeah, I'll go with tan if I ever do a coloured pic of him... except the first one I had in mind - I was going to do a coloured pic of the Baron in his attire from the song he sings - top hat and cane - so, the white gloves would fit better in that case.
OK... now that this is my desktop background, I must say - this actually looks like a screen capture from a real cartoon - you did it very well!
