Description
Okay, corny-ass title, I know. But it fits. This is a birthday present for my LOVARRR, Piper. I gave her the option of having me draw anything she wanted, and she chose herself and her favorite anime character, Fujimiya Aya, all decked out in assassin gear. I had a loooot of fun with this, although by the end of the coloring-spree I was capable of taking a human life 8| There's still plenty wrong with it, of course (like the poopy lighting and their inordinately long torsos), buuut overall I'm still pretty damned satisfied with it.I QUIT NOW, KTHX.
Aya (c) Weiss Kreuz ... people. Hurr.

I think the first thing that caught my eye about this piece is how it seems to portray a bond between the two. Specifically speaking, I felt their poseβs seemed fitting in the sense that they are a team/partners based on their proximity and strengthened by the subtle factor of their legs crossing each other in their stances. Although, the fact that they both have red hair and similar features makes them seem like they could be siblings as well.
Between the two, I really love how the right one (Piper?) turned out overall. Her stance with a hand over the handle of her blade looks really cool and I felt the foreshortening of her arm with the angle of the handle was really well done in a sense of perspective. I also have a liking for her garbs and felt the pauldrons look really good with her red vest there. Lastly, I have to say that I felt you did a really good job on her hair style too.
With all due respect, the only thing that seemed off to me is the base of the blade in the left personβs hand (Aya I assume?). The base seems rather small in comparison to the handle, almost being half the size instead of being about the same. Other than that, everything else seems fine to me.
Excellent work Skade.

No problem, Gan. I see what you mean about the blade, although I didn't notice it initially. I think the gold near the base makes it seem a lot narrower, too. Hmm. Oh well Thanks again for a great comment!

This is nicely done! I like the outfits, especially. The man's arms seem to be a bit short... I think. Something strikes me as off for the proportions but otherwise this is really well done. I love the coloring, it reminds me of storybooks.

Very awesome work on the outfits, but more so I am in awe of the coloring. It's got such rich color, and a nice shading depth that really makes this piece just come together. The coloring to the hair too, excellent use of red and great work making the hair seem more like hair rather than just solid. You did beautifully.
