Hey thanks man - I was using blues that had been infected with a fungus that had chowed all the binder - gum arabic or whaterver it is - so they were like poster paint but they worked well

I don't think watercolour is an easy medium for figures, but here the medium adds to the result, perhaps because you do just enough and then stop. Very subtle. Your portraits have soul.

Hi NFA - I agree with you - or at least I have been wrestling with watercolour for ages to get this - and have been going backwards and forwards on results. Β But I just love the medium. Β And yes - knowing when to stop is a great wisdom that sometimes just comes together. Β Thanks for your comment. Β I love the work I saw on your DA site.
