Photo taken inside with a flash due to much rain outside. it maxes out the white too much. Better one soon.Watercolour and ink on paper. Big ish? 60-65cm? by 50-55cm?
Something like that.
Jasmine= partner of Manu (as seen in my recent watercolour, and my former sister in-law.
so this was an experiment. got a rough idea of the composition. Got lots of ink, poured it on and went totally nuts with a few brushes while it ran down the page. Hair done. Then added the face/shoulder after that.
Cool and energizing? or stupid and pretentious/so last week?
Up to you I guess...I'm just happy to be trying something new, its fun

Looks good, watercolour is not an easy medium to work with...
I don't think silly and pretentious, rather creative and spur of the moment.

ice one. Comp very good, and structure is interesting. Tech in hair looks like a little departure for you; kind of loose, but totally appropriate.

Part of my ongoing attempt to keep a realist feel but make it look more like a hand made object. Still not quite sure I'll do exactly that again but I'm happy with the way this turned out.
