Description
Oils on canvas, 150cm X 55cmAll I can say about this painting is thank god its finished. I started it over a month ago, and have been so friggen busy I've not been able to get back to it, which has been driving me mad, but at last tis done!
I really though this was a great image when I started work on it, I htink I will have to get away from it for a few days to come to terms with the whole thing, very burnt out about it currently.
A friend of mine saw it nearly complete and was convinced the red cloth was a santa sack, into which Carol is placing herself as a gift to her significant other, and I thought that was pretty funny
hehehe
whhheeeee...

hehe santa sack!! hahaha!!!
Great piece. I often find it challenging to create alot of volume simply painting a back & bottom, but here you've got alot of volume, and where there could be more volume, I feel it seems implied. These implications work perfectly.
Keep up zee great work!

very beautiful indeed!!
you did the shading so well that it almost looks like a photo! i think carol is very happy with that one, isnt she?
sorry my english isnt that good so i wonder what you have meant with "burnt out about it currently"... do you mean you cant say if youre content with this painting or something like that?
well in my case...yeah sometimes its like losing the conscious connection to the painting while working on it or already having finished it. thats why i started working on several paintings step by step...getting away from the paintings again. thats kinda helps me...
anyway it was interesting to read what situation you came in....
i love your nudes!!

thank you for saying so, sorry its taken so long to get back to you, have had a lot of comments and not much time lately.
You are right about what I meant about burnt out, but looking back I do quite like that painting
there are 2 new ones since then, so I've forgotten how hard it was now
