Description
Oil on canvas, 120 cm X 90cmSally is tall elegant and one of those woman that I often get men I know whispering to me "hey, do you know her? she's the sexiest thing I've ever seen!" or something of that type. She's also happily married to the ever cool Shayne, the 2 of whom became pregant with their 3rd child not long after this photo was taken.
Yet another attempt to create an image of a woman that shows both the grace and elegance, but also the strength of a woman, whilst aiming for a timeless, yet somehow modern feel... Its a hard call, but I think I'm getting closer.
As allways its hard to get a good photo, but in this one more then some of the others the one thing thats missing is the scale. In the real world, if I'd painted a full figure, she would be 10 feet tall, which gives it this whole other sense of presence you just don't get here.... ahhh well
Enjoy

excellent concept. I saw this painting in another picture of yours and it's really impressive. The only thing I don't like are the stripes on her left shoulder; to me they look like paint on her skin. Adding little more shading would increase their depth. It's just my point of view...
I love it, though

you're probably correct, this was painted quite some time ago, I'd have a longer look at that if I found myself doing it again I think.
thanks though

at first sight this seemed idialistic to me but then I found out I was totally wrong.
the strand of har she missed and the soft wrinkles that naturally apper if you stand this way (it's not really wrinkles..). that all is just natural. and she seems so.. ..I'm lacking of words!
the bright backround really appels to me. it's lovely. this painting is impressing!
