It's starting to get hot here in Florida; our summer sweatbox isn't far around the corner, and some areas of the US are still getting frigid temperatures and snow! Anyway, I went for a little walk around Phillipe Park yesterday and snapped a few wildlife shots. I actually remembered my camera this time; I was there on Saturday morning and walked right underneath an osprey chowing down on a fish in a pine tree. Remember your camera, people!
In the back of the park near the mangrove marsh, this cardinal flew right into a tree and actually struck a pretty nice pose, and I managed to do it justice. I really like this shot; I almost captured a vignette with the leaves on either side, and the bird really stands out against that dark background. I even managed to catch the shine in the bird's eye.
