It's been a while since I shared a picture of a train.
More than posting because it's a train though, I want to give a photography tip along with this picture; when you're photographing something, even on a cloudy day such as when I shot this, it's important to be sure the light source - which nine times out of ten is the Sun - is behind you. I took this on the west side of the railroad tracks during late morning, and even with some editing, the sky is a bit washed out and the colors aren't as vibrant as they could be. Always take into account the lighting conditions when you're snapping shots!

You can see the difference in this photo, which was taken about the same time of day but on the east side of the same railway tracks on a clearer day:

CSX #6907 is a GP40-2 built by General Motors EMD in February of 1980 for the Chesapeake & Ohio railroad, originally numbered 4404.
