This small trestle isn't far from my house and I wanted to get a shot here for a while.
CSX #2017 is a GP-38 built by EMD in 1967 for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad. Most current CSX locomotives, especially their road switchers like this one, were either built for the B&O and C&O, or for the Seaboard System or Louisville and Nashville railroad, as those companies all merged in November 1980 to form CSX. This engine was rebuilt with a new cab sometime during it's life and has been outfitted to operate via remote control as evidenced by the yellow strobe light above the cab, though this is only used when switching yards.
