Description Purpose: a design exercise in which I started with a musket from reference (top left) and changed it. Each of the muskets has an intended use, or "back story" if you'd like, summarised by their names written underneath them. I tried to make the design reflect this function. While I did try to render the guns, rendering was not the main purpose of the study.

What I learned:
- make full use of facilities like mirroring to make the drawing faster and more accurate. In particular the ornate gun has a symmetric decoration which could have just been mirrored.
- try to use a consistent "design language" throughout an object; e.g., it is often difficult to make things work aesthetically if you have a very rounded parts mixed with hard, angular parts.
- Rendering takes a long time even if you are just doing a rough job.
- Clean up the line work!!

Technical stuff:
Drawn in Sketchbook Pro 7 on a Samsung ATIV700 running Windows 8.1.
