Personality

Apricot is a bold, intelligent horse. He’s clever. Under saddle, he has a fairly good sense of what’s correct and what’s incorrect, and he expects his rider to ride the way he deems is acceptable. He’s eager to learn, though he prefers to not have his rider micromanaging everything; he wants to feel like his rider trusts him. Because he’s clever, he’s amazing at working his way out of tough situations and adapting to new things. He has no spook at all, he’s the type of horse that grumpily stands there with an annoyed look on his face while all of his peers are spooking at something stupid. Though he’s very picky and choosey with his riders, he either likes you or he doesn't. If he likes you, which he does most people, he does what you ask, but it’s hard to get him to look happy while doing it. He can take a joke from his rider over trivial things, but he wants a solid ride when things get challenging and has a competitive nature in the show ring.
