Continuing with this thread, here's CHIBI BOOTH AND GUITEAU! I hearts them. almost as much as my Scarface lighter!Guiteau wanted to be appointed Ambassador to France. but he also had a history of mental illness, and then he shot Garfield, and because the insanity defense was new at that time, he was hanged. poor crazy guy.
I don't own. nope! Mucho hearts and props to Michael Cerveris and Denis O'Hare, and before you purists get on my case I've only ever heard the 2004 Broadway revival.

I don't know where else to post this, so I'm saying it here:
today I saw National Treasure 2, and Booth was in the opening sequence (actually, as you may know, the entire movie revolves around the Lincoln assassination). So of course since Michael Cerveris makes Booth so damn attractive no matter who is playing him, I was very excited and fangirlish. and my family has agreed that i'm most likely going to hell.

Hahaha! Yeeah I saw Book of Secrets opening weekend and Booth was very well-done, I have to say. I think he had a bit too much of an evil villain nose and the moustache was obviously fake, but other than that, a great job.
Really, it made me wish I could make an entire movie about the assassination and the manhunt and trials and everything. ^_^

i never thought i'd find assassins fan art!!!!! i'm so excited. my step dad did the lighting for it and it was my favorite out of all our shows so it broke my heart when it closed, especially since i was at camp at the time. and chibi assassins are soooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!yay

I like the 1991 version alright, and after reading up a bit on Czolgosz I can appreciate Mann's more...toned-down sulky rendering of the character. And I have a vendetta against James Barbour. Mainly it's the Guiteau on the original that bothers me....I just really really find his voice irritating. Well, and I'm just in love with/terrified by Michael's Booth and Victors just kind of makes me giggle. XD

I'm really sorry, that was rude of me and I didn't mean to be so hostile about it. I admire his acting talent but there's just that aspect of his personal life that touches a nerve with me....not the scientologist thing though, I don't have anything against scientologists.

I tried listening to the original and MAYBE because I heard the revival first, I don't know, but the vocals really don't work for me. Everyone sounds alright by themselves for the most part, but the harmonies don't work as well, I don't feel enough anger, and Victor Garber is utterly nonthreatening as Booth. ...and the guy playing Guiteau is just.....*shudder* Denis is Love.
I still owe Ali a chibi Zangara. XD
