I had cichlids before. They kept killing everything else, and then they died too. Trying to talk my wife into letting us get a frog.

Yeah! Or some sort of poison dart frog (they are not poisonous when they don;t eat the trees they eat in S. America)

Poison frogs are poisonous thanks to the bacteria of these ants and termites they eat, and are more expensive, on the order of several magnitudes.
