This is, what I believe, the hottest crack!ship in the HTTYD fandom.I won't go into all the reasons again, I'm sure you'll find them sprinkled about in any of my other Thuggstrid doodles.
But they are hot, and passionate, and this is the kind of blood-pounding, angry, rewarding relationship I would want for Astrid. Even if it was only temporary.
Hiccup's all good and fine to settle down with.
But this is something I think she'd definitely need to get out of her system while she's still young and new to her rapidly expanding world.

Oh, Chip will never like him. But he does earn Astrid's tolerance, which is really all she needs. He's kind of like a secret shame of hers. XD
A lot of it has to do with Thuggory's persistence. He has a lot more charm than Snotlout does, that's for sure.

I wouldn't expect less of a chief's son, especially one who received decent treatment in the books. I guess Hiccup was right in that if you hit a guy, he's more likely to be attracted. How does Thuggory earn her tolerance, besides the persistence?

Apologizing, for a start. Everytime he saw her (but with that cocky grin) and it was in his persistence that he earned her tolerance with the way he actually payed attention to her, learned what she liked, was always game for a good spar.. .the little things that really got her blood pumping and in a good way.

I actually want to read this story know, and to see Hiccup's unamused reaction. I know he marries Astrid in the end and they have kids, but it may be one of the few times where he would challenge a bigger rival to a duel.

Well Hiccup may or may not marry her. I said Hiccup would be good for Astrid to settle down with, but I didn't say it actually happens.
