Bio: Ava was born in Raleigh but raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota for most of her life. Her father disappeared from her life in 2000, and thus she has no memories of him or what happened to him. She was raised in the loving arms of her mother and grandmother. Money was always tight and things weren't always easy, but they survived together and thankfully stayed just out of poverty’s reach. Her mother taught Ava to go out into the world and be free and independent, and her grandmother taught her about the cultures of many Native American tribes, including their own: the Lakota. On Ava's tenth birthday, her mother passed down her heirloom necklace to Ava, and she wore it with glee.

Ava lived a normal life for the most part. She got good grades, hanged with friends, had a few girlfriends, took violin and guitar lessons, all that good stuff. High school would've been about when she developed her coffee addiction, though. She spent most of her high school career preparing for college and getting accepted into the school of her choice. Throughout her life, her mother and grandmother had been saving up a large sum of money to help pay for her college funds, but it still wasn't quite enough when the time came. Ava found her solution in early 2015 when she saw an ad in a newspaper for a clerk job at Abstergo Industries. She took the job to earn some good money, even though it meant flying out to the Raleigh branch of the company. She took to her job quickly and made several friends over the next few months, including Ben Dylan, who would become her best friend.

In October of that year, she stumbled upon something she shouldn't have, and while she paid it no mind, it still resulted in her being kidnapped in the middle of the night by a mysterious evil Order called the Templars. She was shoved into an Animus and forced to relive the memories of her ancestor, a Croatoan Assassin named Kahente who had business in the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Ava was rescued that night by two Assassins: Rebecca Crane and, to Ava's surprise, her best friend Ben Dylan. They traveled to Roanoke Island and destroyed the Piece of Eden there to keep it out of Templar hands. After that, Ava volunteered to join the Assassins, and so Ben took her Assassin hideouts around the country to get her used to her new environment.

By November, Ben decided she was ready for training, and so the two travelled to the Montreal hideout to meet with Ben’s friend Ruby Mills. They hooked Ava up to a better, safer Animus, and had her explore the memories of her ancestor, a Shawnee-Canadian Assassin named Aveza Deryn who fought in the War of 1812. In the midst of their sessions, Ben got a call from fellow Assassin Chelsea Patterson asking him to keep an eye out for Precursor Temples and artifacts in Aveza’s memories. They hit the jackpot at the end, finding the Temple of the Archangel Gabriel, whose holographic namesake spoke to Ava through the Animus and told her she had to find the Key to the Temple. The Animus surged with data, gave them a set of memories, and Ruby told them to pack their bags for Indianapolis. A new adventure awaited them.
