Name: Jacob Singer

Birth: October 22, 1997; Indiana

Allegiance: None

Bio: Jacob was born into an abusive family, suffering several physical and mental scars. He was eventually pulled out of that life and was sent into the caring arms of his grandmother. The two lived a relatively normal life in Indianapolis for a while. Jacob adapted to his new school and met several new people, including his friend, Carter Spainhower. Everything seemed decently normal. That is until disaster struck on his eighteenth birthday.

On that day, a group of thugs came through the night, attacked him and his grandmother, and forced him into the order that they were apparently a part of: the Templars. They revealed that the Hoosier Templars had been forced into hiding after their enemies, the Assassins, managed to hunt the majority of them down in the previous years. And thus, they were forcing people into their ranks to try and gain the upper hand. While Jacob agreed with the Templar philosophy of order through control, he did not approve of their corruptedness. He constantly spoke out against his superiors’ crimes, which the Templars eventually took as treason. They turned on him, attacked him, and threatened his loved ones. He was saved, however, by an Assassin ambush, which to Jacob's surprise was led by none other than his friend, Carter.

Carter, wanting to get his friend out of the Templars’ evil reach, gave him the offer to join the Assassins and fight to defend the freedom and equality of mankind. Jacob, after debating with himself for a while, took the offer. He worked with the Assassins for a few months, until one day the Assassins sent him and Carter to a precursor temple to find an unknown Piece of Eden. While in the temple, a booby trap was set off and the place started coming down just as Jacob stumbled upon the artifact, a bag of precursor marbles. Carter was badly wounded, and when Jacob pulled him out with the artifact on his person, the Assassins mistook this for trying to kill Carter and stealing the Piece of Eden. Jacob used the precursor marbles, which digitally gave the user power over different elements, to escape the Assassins.

Now, hunted by his enemies and shunned by his friends, Jacob was on his own. He decided to go a different path. He decided he hated both sides of the conflict. He didn't care for the Assassin's Creed or the Templars’ corruption, so he decided to fight both. Using the precursor marbles, he donned a new persona, the vigilante, Dusk. He worked against the Templars and Assassins (despite Carter's later attempts to persuade him otherwise) and continues to do so to this day.
