Description Name: Jaga Rajawali
Born: December 27, 1857; Batavia, Java
Died: April 17, 1950; Jakarta, Indonesia (age 93)
Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Jaga was born into poverty to two Assassin parents of Arab descent.  He was raised to loyally adhere to the Creed and defend his homeland however need be.  In 1867, his little sister, Apsarini, was born, and he loved her dearly.  Tragedy struck Jaga’s life soon after though, as just before Apsarini’s first birthday, a group of Templars slaughtered their parents in cold blood.  Jaga only barely escaped the attack with his baby sister, and from that day on he grew very protective as he swore to protect her for as long as he lived.

In 1873, the Aceh War began as a result of the Dutch military desiring control over the area's resources.  The local Assassins, having been nearly wiped out by the Templars since the colonial government replaced the VOC, saw the conflict as a means of fighting back.  Jaga took up arms on orders from the Mentor, Teuku Ibrahim Lamnga, and fought a hard fight until things turned grim once again.  The Mentor was killed in 1878, the Assassins lost their footing again, and by the time ceasefire had been issued in 1880, they retreated into the shadows once again.  Lamnga’s wife, Cut Nyak Dhien, took over as Mentor and fell into the same post-slaughter paranoia that most of the Brotherhood did, much to Apsarini’s dismay.

In 1883, Apsarini’s rebellious nature got her into serious trouble.  While trying to uncover a Templar conspiracy led by their Grand Master, Huibert Bousmeester, Apsarini had gone rogue to do things her own way.  She ended up limping back to the Assassin base after getting severely beaten, unknowingly leading the Templars to the base as well.  Boumeester’s army burnt the base to the ground and killed many of the Assassins inside.  Cut Nyak Dhien, furious at Apsarini, excommunicated her from the Brotherhood and sent her into exile in Singapore.  Jaga spent the next few months crying every single night in his room over losing his sister.

Jaga was reunited with his sister again months later.  A British Assassin named Evie Frye had come to the new hideout and lashed out at the Mentor for the incompetence displayed over the past 3 years.  She also explained that she had taken in Apsarini as her own apprentice, and that Apsarini was hunting down Boumeester and the Piece of Eden he had stolen from them.  Jaga rushed to find his sister, catching her just before she set sail for the volcanic island of Krakatoa.  The two had a heartfelt hug and said their sorries before heading out to sea towards the island.  The two entered the Precursor Temple inside the volcano there, and discovered the Templars meddling with the technology.  Boumeester had summoned the digital consciousness of the isu Lucifer, and tried to bargain for power.  Lucifer instead possessed the Grand Master’s body, and set the volcano to erupt.  Jaga and Apsarini barely escaped with their lives, but still got caught up in the destruction of the massive eruption once they reached shore.  Boumeester had escaped, and the Dutch East Indies were in tathers.

Apsarini swore to hunt Boumeester down and pay for his crimes.  In 1891, she discovered that he had returned to his homeland of the Netherlands, and so she decided to hop aboard a ship bound for the same place.  By 1894, she was hot on his tail in the Hague, and had also developed a mysterious case of morning sickness after a drunken night sometime along the way.  Apsarini had discovered that the Templars were plotting to assassinate the Dutch queen, and so she rushed to stop the plot.  She and Boumeester fought viciously, and during their brawl, he revealed himself to her to be Lucifer, and also let it slip that she was pregnant with the child that would become the great grandmother of Apsarini's descendant who would stop Lucifer.  Apsarini managed to stab Lucifer and end the life of his Boumeester host, but his consciousness had hopped to another body and fled the scene.  The war still on but the battle ultimately won, Apsarini was thanked by the queen with membership into the Order of Orange-Nassau and passage back to the Indies, where Apsarini would hide the Piece of Eden she got from Lucifer in an abandoned temple on the island of Lombok.

For the rest of his years, Jaga remained in Indonesia, helping with the various rebellions and social reforms that sprung up over the decades.  He helped his sister to lead the Assassins during the Japanese occupation of the islands during World War II and the subsequent War for Independence.  Jaga died right after the revolution, leaving the lands in the capable hands of his sister, whom he was very proud of.
