Description Bear with me, I'm a little hungover writing this, which, honestly, is kinda fitting. I've mentioned before how a lot of my OCs are just plucked directly from my chronic night terrors. I figure if I'm stuck with this condition, I might as well use the material since it all comes out of the same meatball in my skull anyways. Tiago is one such character. He was born human, and was a Crusader during the medieval era. Unfortunately, when he and his best friend Pedro JimΓ©nez were assigned a mission to eradicate a den of vampires, Tiago was bitten. They were overwhelmed, and Tiago stumbled over a cliff edge. He begged Pedro to pull him up so they could escape and find a cure, but Pedro turned his back on him. He was a monster now, a lost cause, and Tiago never forgave him for that. Since then, he became Pedro's arch nemesis, working his way through the ranks of vampire society in order to build an army just to take down this one son of a bitch. He's spiteful, sarcastic, and hasn't showered in days. Funny story: I kid you not, the day after I had this nightmare, my friend who was DM-ing a D&D game asked me to come up with a vampire character to play as his secret villain. I just kinda looked at him and said bruh you're not gonna believe this. So yeah, I turned Tiago into a warlock to play in a friend's D&D game, and I was pretty much tasked with screwing the whole party over in the most petty ways I could imagine. My eldritch blast exclusively shot out of my middle finger. I love playing the villain.

Design notes, ironic as it is, I wanted to design a vampire with a much lighter, sunnier color scheme than your typical Dracula. As much of a cynical smart-ass as he is, Tiago still very much clings to his holier past as the good old days. In Drake Hero, this relationship is with his Christian God. Despite being turned into an abomination against heaven, he's still a believer, even if now he believes he is destined for Hell. Indeed, that was the underlying motivation for his crimes I used in the D&D setting. He made a pact with this evil goddess to arrange a deal where if he did her bidding and they could both get their revenge on Pedro, she would do the one thing he was always too cowardly to do: kill him, and send him to where he deserves to burn. It was a lot of fun to roleplay and explore. Definitely helped me buff out the kinks that the often disjuncted narratives of my nightmares leave me with.
