The couple in question will rarely look over 30 (even when the kids are shown to be teenage). The mom has to be inevitably hot and slim despite the number of kids she's had, and the dad is often a bishounen. The kids look like a mix-and-match game of physical features from the parents.
Maybe I termed it incorrectly? My description sounds more like generic anime fanart

Old couples are so cute! I also think it's powerful because there ARE things that can last forever in a society that's so fast-paced and is throwing away the old in favor of the new.
So happily-ever-afters for me isn't when a couple is newly married and is riding into the sunset, but when they're still together at the sunset of their lives.

Oh seriously. I just feel all fuzzy inside when I see an old couple, say, holding hands, or helping each other down some stairs.
Yeah, I saw the latter going (very slowly) home from church while we were on vacation. My heart just about esploded.
