Description (I recommend playing "Across the Universe" by The Beatles)

Fill out a form outlining what you did in a playthrough of Mass Effect and it will create a tailored epilogue that is coherent and in-line with the established canon.

This will be updated in accordance with feedback and additional DLC.

ANSWER KEY: 11/24/2013 is the first birthday of this Flash. Woohoo! In light of such, I'm finally releasing the answer key to show how to get all the secret responses!
If you're using this Flash for the first time, don't look at the answer key just yet, it's way more fun to be surprised the first time around.

UPDATE: Omega (12/01/2012)
Finally finished updating this for Omega. I also took a good amount of user criticism into account. Here's what's been changed:
-Omega DLC has been incorporated, but the only thing it really affects is making the Cerberus blurb on Earth's slide go down a level. (i.e. Cerberus is less powerful after war)
-Fixed bug where Garrus was given an epilogue even if he died. I also gave an addition to his romance ending if Pinnacle Station DLC was complete.
-For fans of Wrex, there's an extra bit if you did right by him throughout the series.
-The biggest thing I added was ME2 romance epilogues. I originally didn't focus too much on ME2 squadmates since they all got a spotlight in Extended Cut, but there were some who romanced Miranda or Jack who were disappointed that they didn't get any payoff. To alleviate this, Miranda, Jack, and even Thane have their own epilogues if romanced.
-Edited the Rannoch page so the state of quarian immunity is explained.
-Few other minor edits and revisions.

Bug Fix: (12/13/12)
-Fixed a bug that gave epilogues to everyone even if the galaxy had been destroyed.

Citadel Update: I really am trying to work on thee update for The Citadel DLC, but I've been swamped with other obligations. It'll be awhile before I can submit it, but I have not forgotten it. Thanks for the patience and support, all.

Passing the 10,000 views mark was a very nice birthday present.

UPDATE: Citadel (5/26/2013)
I have finally, *finally* complete the Citadel update. I really wanted to release this sooner, but I just could not find the time to work on it. Here are the new additions:
-The Normandy now has an epilogue! Your ship can actually be destroyed or emerge victorious from the Battle for Earth.
-The asari now have an epilogue! This was actually something that I meant to include in the original version, but it fell to the wayside a bit.
-Incorporated Citadel DLC. As awesome as Citadel was, the only thing I could really think to include for it is a slight bonus to Normandy's survivability. If you haven't played Citadel, get it. It's well worth the price.
-Reckoning DLC gets a very brief mention in the "Eradicate Reaper Code" end.
-I converted the last slide into an experimental idea I had that's called Legacy. It has a summary of everything that occurred in your ending which can be screencapped and put on your gallery for all to see. Not sure how much that will actually be used, but if you do decide to put it in your gallery, be sure to let me know. I love seeing the results that others get on this.
-Altered Leviathan settings. If you take control of the Reapers, the Leviathans are now automatically defeated.
-Fixed a bunch of typos.

I should note that I only said "Military Strength". That way it can be Total or Effective. Whichever you want.

Awesome! I managed to fail miserably but it's been such a long time since I played it that I couldn't for the life of me remember what strength my forces had and things... (though it still made for a better ending than the original canon. >.<)

This was a wonderful little flash you put together.

I detested the heavy handed ending in ME3 and the 'artistic integrity' defense was in many ways just as disappointing.

Bravo for taking a lot of the sting out of the fandom for me.

why is it that everyone but the mass effect writers could make a great ending to the series?

Bad writer. The lead writer from 1 and co-lead on 2 seemed to really make a huge difference.

While ME3 isn't a bad game per se, I consider it the weakest of the three by far. On its own, I'd give it something in the low to mid 80s out of 100. But I'd have given both 1 and 2 solid mid 90s (a couple more points for ME2 than 1). So as part of the series its a real let down.

The writing is - overall - cliche and ham fisted through most of the game. It has its moments, but as has been said, they were far too hung up on making it 'edgy' and 'dark', and going for heavy handed tear jerker attempts and morality plays. Paragon-Renegade choices are one thing, but delivering them with sledge hammer subtlety is quite another. On top of that, they were far more interested in telling THEIR story than letting us tell OURS (as evidenced by how little real choice we actually have in the game, as opposed to 1 and 2), and more interested in making it a multi-player Call of Duty in Space than another ME game.

That stupid repetitive dream about the stupid little kid that got killed at the beginning. Yeah, I get it, Shepard is PTSD, the strain of the battle is starting to show. But for cripes sake, making us have to wander around for several minutes in slow motion in this dreamscape until the little twit bursts into flame after every major mission? Ugh. Spare me. Talk about a heavy handed cliche.

The original ending was so poor that I classified it as only getting a C grade in a High School English course. For professional level writing, they should have been fired.

The clear problem was that they simply had no idea how to end it. They fought with the ending for months - one of the reasons the game was delayed into 2012 - steadily delaying doing the VO work into November before (likely) being told to just get it over with. And so the kludgey heavy handed and stupid ending. While the 'Expanded Ending' (which I noticed HEAVILY borrowed from community ideas) made it at least tolerable, its still not particularly good. The basic nonsense of someone making homicidal AIs that periodically cull the galaxy of advanced life in order to prevent homicidal AIs from destroying all life in the galaxy is simply absurd. And having the stupid AI that controls the Reapers (that of course had to look like that same annoying little kid) on the Citadel simply didn't fit. It completely invalidated the ME1 ending (why would Sovereign need Saren if the AI that controlled Sovereign was *already* on the Citadel?)

I think in the end they needed someone who cared about the series to write the story instead of some EA hacks for whom it was just another 9 to 5 job.

Yeesh, even after all this time this get me a little worked up.

This is great! But there is one option with the crucible not avalible. Is that one you've not created yet or am I missing something?
I was the biggest goody two shoes paragon and just about saved everyone.

Yeah, me too...execpt for Udina and Kai Leng. I hit the Renegade prompt so fast I broke the sound barrier when it came to them.

There are some things needed to unlock that one. A pure Paragon player will never see it.
