This drawing is dedicated to my great friend !!!! She was my first friend on DA. We met on Asdastory, an online game, while questing in Coc... I think that stands for Castle of Chess. Fun times~~~ I hope you really really really like it!!! I worked very hard. I'm so happy of how this drawing turned out.She asked me to draw a fanart of Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. I know Tohru doesn't look like Tohru because... well... she's drawn on my style. Although you can see some features that resemble her.

I actually think the folds in the dress and the hands look perfect. Excellent work! The fabric is WAY better than I can do fabric. Great job!
One I might mess with is the lighting. Tohru seems to just blend in with the background; she doesn't stand out enough. Usually a figure directly against bright light like that creates a sillouette. I'm not saying to totally blacken her out, but make her darker. Add some more light and dark contrasts. Also, define your light source a bit more by creating a larger gradient between light and dark. Make sure there is a little bit of absolute white and absolute black in your shading.

I actually struggle a lot with lighting and shading, and it's the thing I've been working on all year in art class to improve. Swogger (my teacher) gave me a lot of good pointers

I like the sunset. It does become darker as the colors change. The color change is just right. Her hands look fine. But maybe you should make her hand wrap around what she's holding. The wrinkles are fine too.

I think the background is really nice and I definitely feel sunset coming from it. The colors do gradually progress and I'm sure they look even better in person. For the girl I feel like she should be darker, especially the areas where the light would be hitting least (middle of face, middle and bottom of dress, etc.)
I really like your style, I think the anatomy is fine. The only thing that stands out to me is her eyes, like they may be too big even for an anime/manga style. But that's your preference!
The hand holding the rod doesn't look as if it's actually clutching the rod, but her other hand looks good, as if she's holding the dress up.
You did a great job with the wrinkles and draping of the bows and most of the dress.
The one part of the dress that doesn't seem as well done is the top right part. The wrinkles seem to wiggly, if you know what I mean.
All in all, I really like this and find it very pretty. I love how the rod and the ribbons coming from it are very well defined. Often things like that become muddled and blurry but I think you kept this one nice and clear!

LOL I always get "the eyes maria... the eyes maria O.O" by people XD I think they gotten bigger and bigger... and I don't know that's a good thing. Sometimes my sister teases me about the eyes taking all the space in the face hahaha (hopefully that won't happen o.o"). I love your style! and I also prefer longer bodies. at least that's my style and you'll see it in your art trade that I need to get back to...I've started 2 months ago and I just need to colour it but I'm kinda waiting a little til I get better with colouring. ^^ (sry it's taking soo long)
but I absolutely love her dress and her wings! I think the staff with the swirls that kinda look like smoke was very creative. I don't know what else to say but I love it. It's the bestest ^^
Oh and yes the background does look like a sunset.
I like the texture of it. And the wrinkles look just fine to me.

Thank you thank you *bows* I used strathmore watercolor cold press paper (300 g/m^2) and an aspiring artist watercolor kit (doesn't show the name of the brand >.>) and also a black gel pen for the straight line and the rest is watercolor.
