I think if you made the edges a bit sharper, you might not think it looked like crap. Less fuzz or a diff background color. I like the new style, though. Keep it up.

This is actually pretty old; I've been practicing a lot more, I just don't upload much anymore. XD But anyways, thanks for the help; I'll be sure to keep those tips in mind - I wasn't happy with this pic as well.
