Most people go on how they love cloud. He's the best thing ever. Majority of people NEVER PLAYED THE GAME. Or hey maybe you did. For like 1 hour. Never played thru to understand the story.
:U stop ruining things that use to be kewl.
And btw. The thing that makes me more sick is that people that like ff7 a lot really only know of ff games past 7.
No one cares about 5 or 6. And that those two ff games has a better story than ff7 and any other of them combined.

I'm one of the (apparently very few) people who DON'T like the spinoffs for FFVII, and have played the game long before AC existed. FFVI is my favorite, by the way, and FFVII is second place.

I bought FF7 the day it came out! I was 12...way back in 97. 
And I agree, the spin offs are pretty terrible. Advent Children especially. I was really disappointed with it.

I played and beat it the year it came out, but I didn't do many side things until I got to the end of the game, it's my favorite Final Fantasy game of the main series. Dirge of Cerberus is my favorite side game.

Though VII is my favorite, I adore the other Final Fantasy games! And there are so many other characters in VIII and IX that are epic! ;_; But, they're not "mainstream."

I don't know about 6, I only played the game boy version, and it was kinda iffy, but I do really love 5 and 7. Perhaps I even love 10 more, it was the first one i beat after 7. Also enjoyed 12 and am playing X-2 right now. 4 I just couldn't beat, and I lost the First Final Fantasy that I had for my psp...
Yea, I really don't like how some people look up stuff about a game, or in FFVII's case, watch Advent Children then act like they know everything about it, when really, Advent Children is like a little blip in the radar that is the story of FFVII, it doesn't let you experience anything really, unless you already know them cuz YOU PLAYED THE GAME. I still loved the movie, don't get me wrong.
What annoys me even more is these kinds of people who go and write fanfiction about something they don't even know about. And the pairings... ugh. It just disgusts me. Its sort of insulting actually.

Also I forgot to put this in my comment before *shot* The ones with a the best plots are 4 3 and 6 even tho I only played remakes of them. xD;; I honestly think Nomura messed up the FF series 8D'

8D' Ilu. Even tho you beat me to this stamp1 I hate people that only Advents Children e.e and plus Cloud and Vince arn't even the best. Its all about Zack and Cid baby! I kinda hate what AC DOC and CC did to the series. mean I love them but yeah...They just made it a fandom T.T; I mean since CC and DOC zack and Vincent fans sky rockets. They even put Zack in the new Kingdom hearts game and totally messed him up :t making im work for Hades and all..

Played it somewhat. Got pissed at this one jumping puzzle, slammed down the controller, and walked out never to play it again.
Childish? Yes. Cathartic? Totally.

I know what you mean. I played FF7 too. It was ok, but I find that the best FF games ever were 4, 5 and 6 because they had the best plots, they were the most fun, they had the best casts, they had the best graphics (for their time) and they were the ones I would always play over and over again to this very day. To be honest, after 6, the only FF games that I found at least fun was 9 and I wouldn't call it one of the greatest in the series. If there's one thing FF7 taught me at least about good quality games in the FF series at least is to never judge a game by its graphics or by it's anti-hero. And quite frankly, even in those two factors, FF7 was not the greatest in that either. It was just the first to be 3D and to have an anti-hero. FF8 had the best graphics and the best anti-hero in my opinion.

I know, right? I die a little on the inside when people say they love FF7 without having played the actual game. OMG I PLAYED CRISIS CORE AND ADVENT CHILDREN IS SO AWESOME AND yeah they need to shut up. If you wanna say you love Cloud, then why not play the game where he first appears in? Like, when he's actually cool and not all emo. And it is disappointing when people say they love Final Fantasy, even though they've played, like, only one or two of them, usually VII or VIII. VII and VI are two of my favorites, and I tried playing V, but that stupid Archeoavis gave me trouble and I gave up.
