Most people go on how they love cloud. He's the best thing ever. Majority of people NEVER PLAYED THE GAME. Or hey maybe you did. For like 1 hour. Never played thru to understand the story.
:U stop ruining things that use to be kewl.
And btw. The thing that makes me more sick is that people that like ff7 a lot really only know of ff games past 7.
No one cares about 5 or 6. And that those two ff games has a better story than ff7 and any other of them combined.

Also I'm 2 hours into FF7 and its utterly horrible:Β Frustrating gameplay, Unintuitive navigation, Annoying random encounters and SNES like music. The Graphics are a mixed bag. TheΒ over-world'sΒ environments are beautiful, but the characters look like they were rendered on an Atari Jaguar. The game'sΒ sole redeeming feature is the characters. I feel bad for Cloud, for he is trapped in this awful JRPG. I would have talked about the story, but since i'm only two hours in, I can't let myself talk about it.

I played through FF7 it was besides FF 9 and FF 12 (which they're pretty good as well) one of the best Final Fantasy games I've ever played. I said that because I didn't play FF 5 or FF 6. I only had a PlayStation and began with FF 7 ... sorry
But I bet they're pretty well, too.
Let those fangirls babbling. Just give them a "mental slap" telling them "HEY START FANGIRLING IF YOU PLAY THE GAME!!!" >:C

I didn't like it that much :I compared to the other 5th gen console FF games, it was a really good stepping stone into the 3D gaming world for FF.
I just didn't like the character dynamics too much, and the story line is almost always disappointing if you played VI beforehand, and there were some plot holes that slowed me down. IV, I swear, had the best characters. Rydia! :3
My all-time favorite 5th gen console FF game has got to be IX. It threw out that mission status in VII and VIII, and really focused on fairy tail story >=3

I like VII (haven't finished yet) but I'm not a big fan of Cloud. I just dislike his attitude at the beginning of the game and I've yet to see his redemption. And it doesn't help that he's neither the kind of character I like or one I can relate to (like Squall).
VIII and X are my favourites by far.
...It is also kinda funny looking at VII's spinoffs. They're nothing like the original game, at all, in any way. Those stupid fans have no idea what it is they're obsessing over

But it was... somehow terrible, somehow nice. But definitely not the best of the whole series.
For me 1 and 3 are the best. And some of you might kill me for that, but I even like 13 WAY more than 7, lol.

I've played FF7, all the way through, but when Aerith died, I almost stopped playing, but I continued, because of Yuffie and Vincent
But I still find that FF6 was the best. I loved Terra, I loved little Mog, I loved everything in it. To me FF6 was the best game there could ever be, but hey, that's my opinion, nobody else's.

I think FF7 is the best RPG game ever made. The most touching story of all time. What I like about FF7, is that "love" is not involved, or it's not a main part of the story.

I played FF6 and I didn't care for it too much. 
I didn't realize so much of today's FF7 fandom never played the actual game.

I am a Cloud Fangirl, but I did play the original game, numerous times.
He was weiner in the movie though ._.
Then I started to collect em, until my dad stopped funding my 'expensive hobbies'
I got Final Fantasy, 7,8,9, 10, 12, dissidia, and tactics
I wish I had the old ones, but by the time I got into the series ps1 games started being extremely hard to find.
I hunted 8 fer a year until my aunt had to buy if from Ebay.
I hate when I chillin with so called FF7 fans

FFVII is my fave of the lot. Linear but complex in its own way.

I couldn't agree more with this stamp. FF7 is one of my favorite games ever, besides 8 and 6.
The half of the fanbase makes me ashamed to be a FF7 fan though.

Well...I'm still in the middle of playing FF7. o__o' I never got to play it when it was first released because I was only 6-7 at the time and my mom wouldn't let me play video games back then. Now that I've got a PSP and PS3, I downloaded the game and having fun with it.
Though....before that I've also played FF: Dawn of Souls which has FFI (finished) and FFII (in progress) and I really enjoyed FFI's plot. Even though I haven't finished FFII I think its worth playing.

I use to think that ff7 was over rated and probably didnt deserve the amount of hype it was getting. Then, a couple of days ago, I downloaded it from PSN to try it out. Im currently 38 hours or so in and loving every minute of it!

I liked FF8 more knowing it was only a love story, but it was a love story done well. I liked FF7 but realized it was a mediocre story about a guy with amnesia whose village burned down years ago, childhood crush, some special substance and super special secret warrior people. No different from all those other stories. I think the character design, the attention to detail concerning environments during that time was what made it so memorable but of course that's just my imo.

I personally love all the games in the FF7 series, including AC. They've developed the story and characters well. I actually like the spin-offs. They just improve the graphics and set it a certain time in the story. I loved AC and CC although I haven't actually played Vincent's game yet.

I love Cloud. He's by far my favorite FF character EVER. I actually played both FF 6 and 7 more than once (they are among my favorites in the series, besides 8 and Tactics). Does that make my opinion valid? XD
