Description
Fluttershy seemed to be looking for something, or someone, when she found them looking at this strange new pony. The pony was on their stomach to the same level as the duck, the duck that she was looking for, and they seemed to be doing nothing but staring at each other. “Mr.Duck? What are you up to? And who’s your new friend?” Fluttershy smiled. The pink and yellow pegasus trotted over lightly as to not disturb them too much, but noticed that Mr.Duck looked more nervous than anything else. The new gray pony, without looking away, said with an almost glitchy voice, “Having a staring contest of course.” They chuckled.
They seemed to be female from the sound of their voice. The gray pegasus had her face covered with her mane and her hat most of the time, but once Fluttershy went up to the nervous duck, it looked up at her. Then the stranger looked up, “Awww! I was so close to winning too!” Then Fluttershy could see that she was wearing dark goggles. She didn’t want to be rude and question it, even if she was curious about her choice of outfit. Flutters just said quietly, “Well it looked like Mr.Duck was not having as much fun, so I think it would be best if you let my friend be.” Then the duck quacked and waddled over to Fluttershy and behind her, seemingly to hide from the stranger.
Fluttershy could understand the duck, and it was basically warning her about the stranger, which made her a little nervous as well from the vibe she gave off. The stranger rolled onto her back and back onto her legs clumsily as she used her strangely large wings to balance herself. She chuckled, “What’s he sayin’ about me? Hm?” This caught her off guard, “How did you know I can talk to animals?” Flutters asked. The stranger then grinned, showing her sharp teeth, something that a normal pony wouldn’t have, “Because you just told me! HaHA!” She laughed. Fluttershy looked more concerned, and the stranger noticed this. She then decides to introduce herself, “I guess we got off on the wrong foo-um… hoof. You may call me Waffle. And no, I’m not from around here.” She says. Fluttershy puts on a smile, a little more comfortable now that she knows a little about this stranger, “Well it’s very nice to meet you, Waffle. I'm Fluttershy. Where are you from?” she asks innocently. She just grinned, “From the void of nothingness but code and information.” This confused Fluttershy, “Oh… um, okay. Well, welcome to Ponyville. I could show you around if you’d like?” The duck quacked behind her.
Waffle just flicked her mane back yelling, “Nope! I’m good on my own!” Waffle then turned around looking at her and lifted her one wing as to wave goodbye, “I can handle myself don’t you worry! Thanks for the offer thou-!” Right as she started to trot away, when she looked to the front, she bumped into a tree. “I... I meant to do that.” Fluttershy asked, “You sure that's a good idea?” Waffle chuckled, “I’m sure~” She turned to her again, “After all, where's the fun in knowing where you’re going? Besides, Mr.duck doesn’t look so good~” She looked at the duck. The duck saw her wide grin, quacked, and ran for the large pond behind them. Fluttershy looked and tried to stop the duck, “Wait, Mr.Duck! It’s okay!” She yells to the duck, “Sorry, I have to-?” She looked back to see that the stranger was gone. Nowhere to be seen.
