Description
Okay, so last year I was going to do another of my free sequential stories featuring other creators' OC's (with permission of course) and I got side tracked. Even though the project got derailed, I decided to do a cover/splash page featuring a few of the OC's that were set to appear in the tale.On this page:
Captain Cuba by
Ogre by
Atomac by
Ice Princess by
Golden Orb by
Dark Siren by
Star Wraith by me
And of course a random giant robot/alien thingie with a cosmic club

Ah you were probably busy with something. If I recall correctly you had some spectacular pics coming out at about the same time.

Dang... the Captain's looking really Fidel-ish today, especially with the hat. Maybe he's feeling a little sentimental...
In all honesty, I do like how the good Captain looks, as well as your past interpretations of Dr. Pluto and H'elbat. The retro art style really is a far cry from my more cartoonish approach, but it also lends itself to some interesting visuals.
Oh, and personally? If you ever try to turn this into a cover, I think The Hammer Falls! would be a great title.

Oooooo...that's a cool title! I hadn't given it much thought, but I love that.
Sorry if the Captain is looking a little more old school revolutionary than you imagined him. I was operating mostly from memory and this is what I recalled.

Hey man, that's wicked! I've never seen Ice Princess drawn by another person before! Nice to see her costume like that- hope it wasn't too much of a pain. Though simplified because of the size/distance, it looks good .

Well, I made the mistake of doing her skirt before I double checked her design since my machine still isn't loving EotM. That actually made it simpler. Fortunately I'd just inked one side of her outline before I started second guessing my memory. Even if I hadn't though, she wouldn't have been too difficult.
The original plan was for Heroic (?) to be a sequential story and I never use characters I don't think I can draw, so I must've been fairly confident.

It's like a throwback to the comics from the late seventies and early eighties!
Dark Siren: Β Somebody throw me at his face! Β I'll do the rest

Captain Cuba: "How about I hold him instead, and then you punch him?"

Dark Siren: Β As long as punching him in the face is part of the plan, I'm down for it!

Yeah, I wanted to give it that Silver, early Bronze age vibe. I almost felt like I should add a disclaimer *characters shown not actual size*.Β
