Hailing from another dimension, where magic, not science, reigns supreme, Rustam is a privateer of some renown. While greed plays a significant role in his lifestyle, he's as much about the challenge and infamy that goes with it. Equipped with a magic tulwar, bracers and a number of other charms, he has proven to be a more than a match for Earthly authorities and a challenge for many of its super-heroes. Rustam doesn't confine his criminal activities to any single country, but he does do his best to avoid operating in Iran, Irag, Kuwait or Afghanistan, since he shares his name with a legendary hero from those regions and they take great offense to that. Rustam is generally disinclined to use lethal force if he can avoid it, during the commission of his crimes, but he comes from a world where brave adventurers, engaged in heroic exploits do occasionally take lives, so his reticence is rooted in his desire to avoid trouble, not from any real moral code.

By nature, Rustam is full of braggadocio and fearless. He has very few allies in the Earthly super-villain community because he doesn't play well with others. He has no interest in being a leader, but rebels at the thought of taking orders from anyone. There are a very few similarly inclined villains he is on friendly terms with and when convenient, they will mutually cooperate. Long term partnerships are simply out of the question, at least so far.
