Another dip into the bin of previously unfinished characters, languishing about for years brings forth, Silverhand! Silverhand operates as a hero and takes his sobriquet from the very obvious, silver hand on his right arm. At first glance he might seem to be the Irish deity Nuada and he certainly does nothing to disabuse people of that notion, but upon closer inspection some things don't seem to align with the mythical hero. First, he can fly. Very few of the Tuatha de Danaan could fly without first shapeshifting into an animal capable of that feat. Secondly, he wields a spear, not a magic sword. Third, he has been seen channeling energy blasts through both the spear and his silvery appendage, another ability the stories concerning Nuada make no mention of. Finally, he avoids Ireland and Great Britain and the heroes thereof like the plague. This has caused natives of the U.K. and Ireland to look at him with some amount of suspicion. Of course, he's never come out and claimed to be Nuada and all of his public actions have been demonstrably heroic...or benign at the very least. Being mysterious is not a crime, so he's treated as a somewhat eccentric super-hero...at least for the time being.
