“I can’t believe that damn thing managed to sting us four more times before we actually caught it,” Annette mumbled. She glared as best she could at the coffee table, upon which rested a jar containing the now trapped, though still very much pissed off, bee.
Even if she hadn’t said as much, it was obvious they hadn’t gotten away with capturing it without some additional stings. The two of them were even more impossibly swollen and puffy than ever before, practically immobilized by their hugeness. It was difficult to tell where Annette had been stung, as her entire body had ballooned up to such a state she was practically taking on a spherical shape at this point. All she could do was sit on the couch, a couple of ice packs applied to spots where she’d been stung in a feeble attempt to reduce swelling.

On the other side of the couch sat Melissa, and it was more immediately obvious that she’d been stung a few more times in her belly. It was huge and round like some monstrous beach ball, distending out from her frame so far that she couldn’t even reach her arms past the half way point. Despite not swelling up all over like her roommate, her belly was large enough that Melissa was still a comparative size to Annette, to the point that despite the several feet separating the two of them, their bellies just lightly brushed against each other in the middle.

“Just shut up and hand me another bag of ice,” Melissa replied.

“We don’t have any more,” Annette answered back.

“Then stop hogging them all and hand me one of yours!”

“Hell no. I need a bag for all the spots I got stung otherwise I’m never going to shrink back down to normal. Besides we wouldn’t need these bags of nice if you’d just come up with some kind of sciency medicine to make the swelling go down.”

“I keep telling you, it’s not that easy,” Melissa sighed. “It’d take hours to actually make something! Not to mention the only way I’d be able to get a sample of the bee’s venom I’d need would be to remove it’s stinger, which would cause the bee to die. And then my lab partners would murder me because I killed our only specimen!”

Annette groaned. “Dammit Mel, you are the WORST super nerd.”
