“Oh god, where is it?” Melissa searched about frantically, a bug catching net in tow. She’d been entrusted with the research specimen she and her lab partners had been studying at the university over the holiday break, and now the damn thing had gotten out of its container and was loose in the apartment! She had to find it quick before it got out, or worse, before Annette found it! There was no doubt if Melissa’s roommate found it first it’d end up as a smear on the side of a rolled up magazine.

“Great idea Mel,” she chastised herself. “Bring the genetically altered bee home with you to further study it over the holiday. What could possibly go wrong with that? It’s not like you’ll actually lose the thing!”

Before Melissa could beat herself up even more she heard a pained scream come from one of the bedrooms, followed shortly by a second one. She felt a chill run down her spine. Those cries could only mean Annette had found the bee first.

Melissa took off in a full on panic. “Nononononono please don’t swat it please please please…” She chanted to herself as she ran for Annette’s bedroom. Before she could get to the doorway, she saw something tiny and yellow fly out the room.

“Oh thank god,” Melissa breathed a sigh of relief. Not only had she found the bee, but Annette hadn’t smashed it yet! Now she just needed to catch it. Without waiting to even take aim Melissa began to flail her net about wildly in a frantic attempt to capture the insect.

To the bee, all this looked like was another bumbling behemoth who needed to be taught a lesson. With surgical precision it weaved in and out, avoiding the swipes from the net and diving right for its target. Melissa saw this approach and darted out of the way, taking another swing with the net. She failed yet again to catch it, instead knocking it down with the rim. Disoriented the bee buzzed around erratically, attempting to fly higher into the air as fast as it could. Before it could get too far it collided with something yet again. It was round and soft and prohibited the bee’s further ascent into the air. Well, that wouldn’t do. This bee would have to teach this thing a lesson…

“AAAH!” Melissa yelped in pain, grabbing at her t-shirt and fanning it rapidly. The bee had flown up under her shirt and stung her in the belly. The fanning motion has set the bee free, allowing it to easily find its way back into the air. It paid Melissa no mind now, seemingly content to just fly away to do its own thing.

“Dammit,” Melissa cursed. “Foul tempered little…”

Her voice trailed off as she rubbed her sore belly. It didn’t take long for Melissa to notice it had become notably larger and rounder. Not that she’d deny having a potbelly in the first place, but this was significantly bigger than a potbelly. This was a full blown belly. And it was growing! Melissa braced herself against a table as she felt her abdomen expand larger, growing more swollen and distended with each passing moment. Before long, her belly grew to sizes typically known only to pregnant women, with no sign that it was stopping anytime soon.

“Ungh,” Melissa groaned in discomfort as she watched herself swell to enormity, feeling the weight of her gut push down on the waistband of her shorts.

“Melissaaaa! Meeeel!” Annette’s voice whined behind her. Great, like she didn’t have enough to worry about already!

“Whaaat?” Melissa simply groaned in response, nursing her abdomen as best she could.

“A bee stung me!”

“No kidding,” Melissa answered. “It stung me too! Join the club!”

“It stung me really bad though!”

“Oh really, is it as bad as THIS?” Melissa turned around to face Annette, figuring the sight of her gargantuan belly would be enough to shock Annette to stop whining. She wasn’t at all prepared to see Annette sporting a pair of breasts each larger than her head.

“What the hell happened to you!?” they both cried in unison.
